Artrage artwork11/12/2022 ![]() ARTRAGE ARTWORK SOFTWAREI wouldn't look at the types of art people create with art software to judge the software itself because that is ultimately irrelevant to its capabilities. I've used a lot of different kinds of art programs and I know that if you get to know your way around any tool, you can make it do what you want it to. I don't get the painterly style with it that I get from artrage but I use it for quick stuff, and its intentionally unrealistic brush engine makes it easy to do things that would never be possible on paper. Inkfish also features something similar.įrom what I gather, ArtRage is a fun program for when I need fewer brushes with more functionality than my other software, but Black Ink is great for digital art and concepts. You should look into Mischief if you find that to be interesting. The "endless zoom" sort of thing it had was pretty much it's main standout feature it at for me. and honestly it didn't feel much different from most other programs out there. The last art that I made is an OC (original character) of a "pegasister" friend of mine which I did last Christmas. Heck I can even say that I am yet to utilize my copy of SAI enough to get my money's worth. So, what do you think? If ever I do get, should I get Art Rage or Black Ink? And if it helps you guys make a suggestion to me, take a look at my deviantart page at so you can have a basis of which software I should get based on the art that I create. And since I cannot afford Photoshop, I got myself a licensed Paint Tool SAI instead and its great, except no filters and no typing letters of any sort among others. I actually cannot say that I have made any sort of psychologically deep surrealistic art except maybe for my icon/avatar in my deviantart page. Which is actually what I am inclined to make. Now, when I look at Art Rage's artwork section in its Community Hub, I see more commercial-type artwork. Like melting clocks and such and screaming melting or melted-looking people if you know what I mean. I've looked at both software's Steam Community Hub's Artwork sections and I must say, though I am intrugied by Black Ink's GPU utilization, when I see the artworks posted in its Community Hub.I have a feeling that Black Ink is inclined more for surrealism of the "Boy George / Sweet Dreams are Made of These" kind. ![]()
